Oyster Bashing

Various Dates -April, May, June

Oyster bashing is going ahead, now that we have got the permissions required and carried out the initial surveys. Numbers of Pacific Oysters have increased and there are some hotspots on the Fowey side of the foreshore where some reefing is starting to occur.

Please let us know if you are interested in taking part and we will make a separate email group to contact you about this. BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL so that we can ensure there is enough equipment. Wear stout shoes, old clothes and waterproofs, as this can be a messy activity.  Contact e-mail is friendsofthefowey@gmail.com

 The first dates are: 

  • Saturday 18th April, meet Caffa Mill 12 midday. Low tide is 1.17pm, we aim to finish at 1.30pm

  • Sunday 17th May, meet Albert Quay 11.45am. Low tide is 12.54pm, we aim to finish at 1.30pm

  • Thursday 18th June, meet Whitehouse Quay 1.45pm. Low tide is 3.06pm, we aim to finish at 3.30pm
